Volunteer At Collie
Becoming a motorsport official is the best way of getting close to the action without being in the driver’s seat. Volunteer officials are a vital part of motorsport and without them the sport could not function. Officials ensure that events are conducted safely, fairly and that the rules and regulations are upheld.
Membership of a Car Club or Officials’ Association is not a prerequisite to becoming a Licenced Official but membership will help keep you in the loop with what is happening in the areas of interest that you may have – details of upcoming events etc.
Becoming an Official enables you to officiate at all types of motorsport events (cars and bikes) including:
Race, Sprints, Hill climbs, Regularity, Burnouts, Motokhana, Autokhana, Rally and Off-road.
The more experience you obtain will lead to a higher level of official’s role which will enable you to officiate at events such as Bathurst, Moto GP, ASBK and Targa West.
